NotesApp: a notes app I took from schema to signed APK
A React Native app on top of a FastAPI backend I designed, secured and deployed myself. Two repos, one product, every layer mine.
18REST endpoints
15Alembic migrations
2sign-in paths: Google OAuth + email OTP
v1.0.0signed Android release
The app

What I built
Auth done properly
Email and Google sign-in sharing one session layer, email OTP verification and password recovery, and JWTs with automatic refresh-token rotation.
Rich-text editor
A markdown-inspired editor with headings, links, lists, quotes and language-aware code blocks, plus a built-in formatting guide.
Excel export
Notes exported to a spreadsheet, with task status tracking from pending to in progress to completed.
Config API
App version checks, force updates, maintenance mode and the About and Privacy pages all come from the server, so behaviour changes without a release.
Schema that evolves
PostgreSQL with SQLAlchemy and 15 Alembic migrations, so every change to the database is versioned.
Shipped, not just coded
API on Render with Neon Postgres and Resend for email; the Android APK on GitHub Releases; MIT licensed.
Under the hood

What it taught me
- Designing reusable auth flows so two sign-in methods share one session layer
- Structuring a React Native codebase by feature, with shared components and centralized API services
- Building and versioning a production REST API and its database
- Preparing an app and an API for cloud deployment and a public release
